Trip Details

Our gap year venture programme in South East Asia offers you the opportunity to work at the biggest kindergarten in the Maldives. Even though this kindergarten is operated by a private organisation under the permission of the government, it provides free education for some underprivileged students, including children with special needs in mainstream education.

In the kindergarten, you will find hyperactive students as well as children with autism. Since inclusive education is relatively a new concept, few teachers are trained in special education. Your task is to help provide better educational opportunities for children with special needs.

Friday is an official holiday for Maldivians so you will be working at the beach by actively taking part in the beach cleaning process.
