For participants, the experiences you will have, and the skills you will learn will be invaluable as you share cultural exchanges with local people and other project participants. As part of your role, you will be expected to plan and prepare experiential learning opportunities for the children which will develop their knowledge of English and inspire them to embark on a pathway to future success. How you teach the children is up to you, but the more fun and enjoyable the activities are, the more memorable the learning will be.

Project Itinerary

Teaching at Pre-Schools
We teach at a government pre-school which runs from 9:00 am to 15:00 pm from Monday to Friday. The children learn basic reading and writing. They learn alphabets and numbers and also play games and engage in fun-based activities to fuel their learning process. You will help students improve their English by teaching them basic English and by speaking to them so that they learn to communicate.
Teaching at Schools
We will also participate at a primary school. All the children attending the school come from nearby communities. The school follows the government syllabus as prescribed by the Ministry of Education. Participants spend their time teaching children English and helping them develop communication skills as well as assisting teachers and identifying students with learning difficulties to provide them with more help. You may also conduct and participate in activities such as singing, playing games with the children. Musical instruments are a plus – as musical classes are about singing only.
