During this gap year volunteer in Oceania programme you’ll assist the men in Aufaga in their construction efforts. You will work side by side with them and get instructions and guidance on what to do.
You don’t need an additional skill set to take part in this project, but basic knowledge in home repairs, construction work or general DIY activities would be a plus. The project helps build fale (an open Samoan community house) to support the women entrepreneurs in their efforts to create a secure and a sustainable future for the village via their weaving skills.
You will be working with the locals in Aufaga village by carrying out a range of construction and renovation tasks. You’ll usually finish around 3pm in the afternoon. After dinner the time will be your own to go exploring, relax or socialise.
