Many of the villagers here in Coihueco needs help with renovation and light construction for communal areas such as schools, churches, clinics, healthcare and community centres.
As a gap year volunteer in Chile you can assist the community while engage with the local people and learning more about their culture.
Work can include repairing chairs, tables, toilets, building walls, repairing roofs, tiling, painting or even gardening. Tasks will depend on local conditions and what is needed at the time.
You can expect to be working between four to five hours a day in the morning and afternoons. The day will be broken with lunch. After dinner you will have free time to do some exploring, relaxing etc.
