Palawan is a small island province located in the Mimaropa region of the Philippines. Spread across one large main island as well as over several smaller ones, Palawan’s landscape contains areas of heavy forest, white sand beaches, coastal plains, valley deltas and a mountain range that includes Mount Mantalingajan, one of the Philippines’ most challenging peaks.
Learn about fishing and agriculture by working alongside local villagers who have devoted their lives to these professions!
This program offers the unique opportunity to work alongside the local villagers of Palawan in their authentic professions: fishing and agriculture. You will assist the local villagers by joining them in their fishing practices and by working in the fields/plantations, giving you an extraordinary insight into the livelihood of the people of Palawan and their culture.
