Trip Details

Purely aimed at students with a medical background, the project is a route for you to gain experience through observing medical practitioners at work. Medical practices around the world vary from our own through environmental conditions, availability of funding, development of techniques and patients’ needs to name but a few. You can gain an insight into the differences and similarities between those in Kathmandu and the practices you are familiar with. It’s a perfect way to gain experience and will look great on your resume. During the internship, you will observe the in-house doctors, unless you are very experienced in which case you will be given some hands-on work to carry out. Working in either a government, private or community hospital around Kathmandu and Kathmandu valley, you will witness first-hand the procedures carried out by the medical staff by shadowing them throughout their day. Occasionally, you may be called upon to assist them with some of their tasks.

***The minimum duration of the medical internship program is one month (4 weeks) and you will need prior knowledge and experience in medical profession.***

Please Note: Projects start on a Monday, however you should arrive over the weekend on either Saturday or Sunday.
