Kindergarten Volunteer in Kathmandu, Nepal

There’s a lot of fun to be had on our Kindergarten Volunteer project here in Kathmandu! You’ll be working at a small school with 35 – 45 children who just love visitors from other countries! Primarily, you will be working with little ones between 3 and 6 years old, helping to build their confidence and learn some basic language skills through song, rhyme and games. So, if you’re the kind of person that young children just seem to flock to, then this programme is definitely for you!

Reach Out as a Volunteer to help Kathmandu’s Children

This programme reaches out to children from underprivileged communities, so you will be working across a range of abilities. Importantly, fun, empathy and affection are the buzzwords here, as it will often be those who seem least engaged that need your help the most! Also, whilst you will have support from local teaching staff, you will be free to come up with your own fun activities – even bringing your own materials if you like! This is a rewarding and valuable project, where your input is helping to build a brighter future for these children.

Explore all that Nepal’s Capital has to Offer its Adventurers!

Sheltered by mountains in a picturesque valley, Kathmandu has a wealth of culture, and a super friendly community!  Take in the stunning scenery, (you can see the Himalayas in the distance!) or explore by foot along the many rivers and streams which cut through the landscape. And, if you love shopping, there are markets galore where you can buy Indian artefacts, clothes and trinkets to take back home! Further, if you love to dine out, you’ll find loads of great eateries, including Italian, Indian, Chinese – and of course, local cuisine too! Although you’ll probably plan some adventures for the weekends, Kathmandu has plenty to keep you busy during your stay here as a Kindergarten Volunteer!
