Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience of teaching? If you’re passionate about working with young children to improve their future prospects, this project will help you to do just that! Focusing on raising the standards of English, the project engages the local children in educational activities that will capture their interest while laying foundations for a successful future. As a participant on this project, you will provide exciting learning opportunities for the children at a local kindergarten. Teaching English in an informal way, using games, activities and natural play opportunities, you’ll be able to make it fun and enjoyable for both you and the children. Catering for children between the ages of 3 and 5, the class operates a morning and afternoon session which each last for around 3 to 4 hours. You will work one of the sessions each day but will be expected to spend some free time preparing for future activities. As well as teaching the children, you will also be expected to assist with the general day-to-day running of the kindergarten, completing tasks as the need arises to support the local staff.
Monday to Friday
Each day will be varied with regard to the activities you’ll carry out once at the kindergarten. You’ll either spend the morning or afternoon on site. Learning opportunities at the kindergarten are facilitated through fun, interactive play activities. Your main focus will be to teach them English while assisting the local staff with other tasks such as taking care of the children, and managing and organising classes.
