Trip Details

An adventurous spirit and an interest in nature are a must for this exhilarating project! While showing you the best of Thailand’s natural environment, the project will take you crawling through caves, meeting hill tribes and lighting bonfires. With the beauty of sleeping under the stars, you’ll be roughing it as you camp with the bare essentials. Although there are no luxuries on your adventure through the jungle, the experiences you will have as you trek will be absolutely priceless! Encountering spectacular scenery and wildlife as you follow a carefully planned route, your senses will be reeling! Taking you back to basics, ingredients for your food will be provided but it will be your job, along with fellow participants, to create your meals. At the end of the week, your tremendous trekking effort will be rewarded with an overnight stay in an air-conditioned room complete with a hot shower and real bed, giving you a well-earned, and welcome, rest!

Please Note: Projects start on a Monday, however you should arrive over the weekend on either Saturday or Sunday.

Trip Itinerary

Monday

After breakfast, you’ll be heading from Singburi to Phu Toei National Park. Along the way there’ll be a stop at Tesco Lotus to stock up on supplies and another for lunch at a local restaurant. When you arrive at the national park, you’ll have dinner around the bonfire after setting up the tents, then settle down for the night.

Tuesday

Trekking begins after breakfast as you explore the beautiful Ta Pern Kee Yai and Ta Pern Kee Noy waterfalls. After enjoying lunch in the heart of the forest, your trek continues to Ta Pern Kee National Park. Here, you’ll set up your tents for the night and once again eat dinner around the bonfire before getting some rest.

Wednesday

Thewada Peak awaits you at the end of a trek through the jungle this morning. Lunch will be eaten at the camp and then the adventure moves on to witness the wonders of nature at Ta Pern Pet Cave, Ba Dan Cave and Ta Pern Ngern Cave. After crawling through the caves, the trek continues to Ta Pern Kee Karen Village where you’ll be able to enjoy a special welcome party. You’ll stay here overnight in your tents.

Thursday

Leaving Ta Pern Kee National Park after breakfast, you’ll trek to Photei National Park where you’ll be driven to Forest Phak Lake to set up your tents. There’ll be a chance to unwind and relax at the beautiful lake where you will be able to swim if you wish. After setting up your tents, you’ll enjoy dinner before turning in for a night under the starlit sky.

Friday

Luckily, you’ll be refreshed from your peaceful afternoon at the lake and ready for a day of adventurous activity! After breakfast, you’ll go to Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park before heading out to Tan Lod Noi Cave. A spectacular setting, the cave is subtly lit to accentuate the weird and beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. As you admire them, you’ll be grateful for the cooling effect of the small stream that runs through the cave. Following the exploration of this cave, you’ll be trekking to another, Tan Lod Yai, a breath-taking sinkhole with a natural stone arch crowning a stream. Previously used as an ancient graveyard, it has been home to an archaeological treasure chest of weapons, skeletons and charms! Two stunning waterfalls, Tran Thong and Trib Thong will be your next port of call before your trek ends with a drive to your hotel at Suphanburi. After having dinner at a night market in the local town, you’ll be able to enjoy the Wi-Fi, hot shower, air conditioning, swimming pool and real bed at your overnight accommodation.

Saturday

An easier day today giving you plenty of time to relax. Breakfast will be served at the hotel, and you’ll head to Sam Chuk Market where you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch. Depending on whether you are going home or moving onto another project, you will either be transferred to Singburi or taken to the bus station.
