Trip Details

If you love teaching and being with children, experiencing Brazil as a community teacher is something you will really enjoy.

English is a language used for communication worldwide, so by helping to teach these children you are giving them an invaluable skill that helps broaden their opportunities.

Generally, public schools offers very few English classes throughout the week. So, they have a language school which offers extra hours for those who need it. These schools offer classes for kindergarten kids up to adult classes.

This is where you will be mainly teaching older students. But you might also get the chance to teach in either primary, secondary or high schools around Manaus and you will have plenty of guidance working together with local teachers while following their school curriculum throughout the week.

Simply by having someone to practice with and prompt conversations in English, you’ll be able to help students work on both their pronunciation and vocabulary.

Exchanging your experiences and culture will be great way to open dialogue and broaden their worldview – and yours too.
