During this gap year volunteer in Chile week you will learn about Chilean culture, get an insight into the language and have a taste of what they eat in South America.
You will visit a local organic farm where they grow lots of different fruits and vegetables, get creative at a handicraft market where they produce baskets, bags and souvenirs etc, visit a monument and get to receive the warmth of Chilean people.
You’ll also take a Chilean cooking lesson, explore the area and learn the basics of the language. You’ll also get to understand how people here live.
On Monday you’ll receive your culture introduction and a language class. After lunch you’ll go a tour of the village by foot and enjoy dinner in the city. Tuesday is a day for visits – the local monuments and markets. Wednesday you’ll take another language class and visit a lake and on Thursday it’s all about practical learning via a cookery class and handicraft work. Friday you’ll visit an organic farm.
